Hoofstad Skakel CulturalAwarded the Hoofstad Skakel Cultural Achievement Award – Gold Class, inter alia for his creative writing classes for the community which he has been running for twenty years. He attended the Bible Translation seminar at the University of Pretoria, as he is one of the team who have to produce a new translation of the Bible in Afrikaans by 2012.
