INAUGURAL SEMINAR SERIES: Mastering of The Masters Project 2021

The College of Humanities is pleased to announce its Mastering of the Masters Project – Inaugural Seminars Series for the year 2021. The Mastering of the Masters Project is a flagship postgraduate
throughput enhancement project aimed at assisting our Research Masters students to complete their studies within minimum time, with high quality research outputs, as part of our broader response to the Vice Chancellor’s inspired M+ Project.

The first leg of this Project focuses on;

Proposal Development and Ethical Clearance Support for our newly registered Masters
students and all returning students who are yet to achieve these milestones in their studies
[our target is to have these students complete, defend their proposals and submit for ethical
clearance within one semester].

To this effect, a series of six (6) Cohort Supervision Seminars facilitated by senior and wellrespected scholars from the College of Humanities, nationally and internationally, shall be
held as follows:

  • 02 September 2021
  • 16 September 2021
  • 30 September 2021
  • 14 October 2021
  • 28 October 2021
  • 11 November 2021

A comprehensive pedagogical programme will be shared with students who have registered to participate in this project, closer to the commencement date.
All registered Masters students at the Proposal Development and Ethical Clearance stage in the
College of Humanities are required to attend.
